Archie's Birthday

Friday 3 August 2012

Archie was 3 years old today

We spent the day celebrating his birthday by giving him a day off the Tube and letting him play with toys.  He enjoyed opening presents

reading cards

and playing with his new toys.

When you are 3 years old birthdays are all about toys and cake, to mark the occasion we made sure there was plenty of cake, three in fact.

Cake 1:

The second was much like the first except it had broken icing and no candles (we messed it up and Mum & I had to make a last minute, late night trip to Sainsbury's to get another one to decorate!)

Cake 3:

We travelled to Granny's house after lunch where Archie opened more presents and ate more cake with Granny & Uncle Pete (Andy's Mum & brother)

A few other gratuitous photos:
Susanna is 10 months old today, with Auntie Katie

Tambourine & ball from Aunty Zoe

You can't have a birthday in the middle of the Olympics without having an Olympic birthday cake!
We still made sure we sang the national anthem together three times to celebrate the rowing victory, the team pursuiters and Queen Victoria Pendleton in the Keirin!
