Come on Burundi!

Sunday 5th August

Today we travelled to the City of London to watch the Women's Marathon. Upon arriving at Temple and Mansion House stations we found lots of rain so we decided to have some fun on the tube.

Throughout the trip Esther has enjoyed the different coloured underground lines, playing "Eye-spy" stations and finding our way around. Today, during the rain and the first part of the marathon we took in three more lines we had yet to use: Circle, Northern and Hammersmith & City. Esther was a little disappointed the Hammersmith & City does not have pink poles (like it should) but instead just shares the Circle line (yellow pole) trains.

We eventually found the rain had died down and a bus stop near Cannon Street station where we greatly enjoyed cheering on all nations, and our lunch.

Afterwards we spotted another Wenlock mascot.

When we returned home we were rewarded with Gold (chocolate) medals by Uncle Pete and Granny for Olympic spectating!
